AMD Ryzen 7 7700X

Don’t miss the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X for a fraction of its usual MSRP making the already competitive mid-range even more aggressive.

In terms of its hardware, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X features eight cores and 16 threads with a base clock speed of 4.5 GHz and a boost clock of up to 5.4 GHz. There’s also 32MB of L3 cache which will aid gaming and hardware rendering. While it’s been cheaper once or twice in the past by $5 or so, this is still an excellent price considering what the CPU offers and should see your gaming experiences run flawlessly for many years to come.

As with other Ryzen 7000 chipsets, the 7700X is built on the AM5 socket with its Zen 4 architecture. If you’re upgrading from an older Ryzen CPU then you’re going to need a compatible motherboard and this could extend to the gaming RAM, too. That’s because there’s only support for far faster DDR5 RAM which will reduce any risks of bottlenecking. A heavily discounted chip like this could go a long way to making your next build cheaper.

Comparing the going rates of this chipset to its competition, the 7700X comes in nearly $100 cheaper than the Intel Core i7-14700K which currently retails around the $397 mark. That’s a difference of $83 which could make all the difference in deciding between Team Red and Team Blue for your next processor upgrade. What’s more, we’ve compared both in our dedicated 14700K vs 7700X feature, too.
